Open in 2006, Sydney Wildlife World is a wondeful atttraction, showcasing Australia’s unique and bizarre flora and fauna (plants and animals) right in the heart of Darling Harbour.
Sydney Wildlife World features around 1 kilometre of walkway space. The facility is over 7,000 metres square and comprises 3 floors of exhibits, with the upper level exhibits open to the elements under a mesh roof. This building design means that part of the displays, including the Rainforest Canopy and greenery are able to be seen from outside of the building.
It focuses heavily on both conservation and education of Australian native flora and fauna. Australia has unique flora and fauna, much of it under threat, and publicising this message will be a key part of Sydney Wildlife World’s mission.
Visitors are now able to walk into the red earth world of Semi-Arid Grasslands and come face-to-face with its furry wallaby inhabitants.
