The National Dinosaur Museum is situated in Australia's capital of Canberra, and is one of the premiere tourist attractions in the area.
Starting from humble beginnings in 1993, the museum has grown from just a small collection to housing the largest permanent display of dinosaur and other prehistoric fossil material in Australia.
With 23 Complete skeletons, and over 300 displays of individual fossils, the museum continues to grow and expand both our collection, and our depth of information.
The museum also attracts a large number of people every year, educating both school children and the general public about dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals.
Focusing on both education and entertainment, the museum offers a wide variety of activities to both schools and the general public. From guided tours of the museum, to puppet shows, to birthday parties for the kids, there's sure to be something to suit the needs of just about anyone.
The museum's exhibits take you on a journey through time, from it's very beginnings to some of the most recent animals. Through this you can follow the evolution of life, and see just how successful the dinosaurs were.
